Who we are

dME builds the work browser - a browser designed for how teams actually work today, in SaaS apps and AI tools. Our products include dME Browser, dME Connect (browser extension), and dME Secure (web-based management platform).

We are committed to protecting your privacy. By using any dME product, you agree to the practices outlined in this policy. All data processed by dME is scoped to your organization's security policies and never used for profiling or advertising.

Information We Collect

dME operates within managed organizational contexts and processes data based on product configuration:

From dME Browser

  • URLs visited during managed browsing sessions
  • User interaction signals (copy/paste, downloads, uploads) for detecting risky behavior
  • Device information (browser version, OS, screen size) for compatibility and security
  • Telemetry data regarding browser crashes or anomalies

From dME Connect (Extension)

  • URL and page metadata from corporate tabs
  • File metadata for downloaded or uploaded content
  • Signals related to phishing, malware, or unsafe site detection
  • Browser version and basic system information

From dME Secure (Management Layer)

  • User activity logs for administrative and compliance review
  • Policy enforcement logs (blocked websites, app usage)
  • Device enrollment and authentication metadata

How We Use the Information

Data usage focuses on security and administrative functionality:

  • Detect and prevent phishing attempts, malware, or unauthorized access
  • Enforce organizational policies related to app usage and data protection
  • Support IT administrators with audit trails and compliance reports
  • Provide user support and resolve technical issues
  • Monitor and improve product performance and compatibility
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use data for marketing or resale purposes.

Information Sharing

dME does not sell or share data with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

Data may transfer to infrastructure services used by the organization or authorized providers. All transfers are encrypted with limited access to administrative users or approved service processors.

Your data remains under the control of your company's IT administrators and is governed by their internal security and compliance policies.

Data Security

Technical and organizational measures protect data from unauthorized access:

  • End-to-end encryption
  • Role-based access controls
  • Secure software development practices
  • Minimal-permission architecture for extensions and apps

All dME components operate under a zero-trust security model, requiring authentication and policy validation at each step.

User Control & Access

dME functions as a business-managed solution where end users operate under organizational policies:

  • Individual users cannot override privacy settings configured by their organization
  • Requests to access, correct, or delete data must be submitted to the organization's administrator
  • End users with questions should contact their internal IT team

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or our practices. Significant changes trigger organizational notification through administrative channels.
